Mac & Cheese With Bacon
The best ever instant pot mac and cheese with bacon recipe
INGREDIENTS
• 1 (16 ounce) package elbow macaroni
• 4 cups chicken broth (or water)
• 4 Tablespoons butter
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup whipping cream
• 1/2 cup smoked Gouda cheese
• 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
• 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
• 1/2 teaspoon mustard
• 1 pound of bacon
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Drop the pasta in Instant Pot. Pour in chicken broth over macaroni so that all it’s covered by the broth.
2. Cut butter into small pieces and drop into the pot of pasta. Add salt.
3. Place lid on top of Instant Pot and secure in place.
4. Press PRESSER COOK button, set timer to 4 minutes and PRESSURE LEVEL button set to high.
5. When finished cooking, wait for about 5 minutes for a natural release of the pressure, then press the venting button to quickly release the remaining pressure.
6. Remove lid and add whipping cream, Gouda cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan cheese. Add in the seasonings and mix together until the cheese is melted.
For a cheesier Mac & Cheese add 1/2 to 1 cup extra cheese
Be sure your noodles are covered in the broth or water before turning on the instant pot.
